Wave Vendors uses older instruments, while using hand coded software for the recording process. We then run those digital recordings through various analog devices to give it the character that is missing in today’s music. Never summoned by prompts, always hand crafted, and meticulously slow cooked by a human.
A blending of the digital and analog audio worlds into a single vision, harnessing the strengths of each while complimenting each other to create a balanced and provocative sound. Tape decks, valve preamps, and vintage microphones round out an impressive array of avenues for creation. These tones may be older in age, but they don’t have to go anywhere. We believe they should be here to stay.
A portion of all royalties made has been regularly donated to arts-related charities and nonprofits so that real creative skills can still be passed along in today’s age of ‘copy and paste’. Human creativity is so much more complex than we give it credit for.
